Dr. Mark Jewell is a board-certified plastic surgeon. He is a former Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery and Oregon Health Science University. Dr. Jewell is a world authority on breast implants and aesthetic breast surgery. He has over 120 peer-reviewed scientific papers, books, book chapters, and editorial publishing. Much of his writing has been focused on aesthetic breast surgery, process engineering, material science of silicone gel, and antimicrobials. Additionally, he is the co-editor of the Atlas of Aesthetic Breast Surgery (Elsevier). Dr. Jewell received the prestigious Research Award from the Aesthetic Foundation in 2025 for his research activities and publishing.
